Website Development for Lawyers

A law firm website has one job: convince someone in a stressful moment that your firm is the safe choice, then make contacting you effortless. We build practice sites around that decision: clear practice area pages, attorney profiles that read like people, intake forms that qualify before the first call, and local SEO that surfaces the firm when someone nearby searches for help. Built with the discipline behind 300+ websites shipped since 2019.

What we deliver

The shape of a Law Firms engagement.

Specific deliverables, not generic promises. Here's what ships when you work with us.

  • Practice area pages built one per service and one per location, so the firm ranks for the specific searches clients actually type instead of relying on one generic services page.

  • Attorney profiles that carry credentials, bar admissions, and matter focus with a photo that looks like a person, because clients hire a lawyer before they hire a firm.

  • Client intake flows that qualify: structured forms capturing matter type, urgency, and conflict-check basics, routed to email, your CRM, or your case management tool so no inquiry sits unread.

  • Local SEO for the practice, covering the Google Business Profile, review flow, citations, and location pages, so the firm shows up in the map pack for nearby, ready-to-hire searches.

  • Trust infrastructure throughout: reviews and results surfaced where your bar rules allow them, credentials and associations visible, and clear disclaimers where the rules require them.

  • Fast, secure hosting and ongoing care, with updates, backups, and monitoring handled, so the site that brings in clients never becomes the thing that embarrasses the firm.

Case study spotlight

Proof, not portfolio fluff.

Ficino School case study by WitsCode, Business Website engagement.

Business Website

Ficino School, a philosophically inspired private school in Auckland

Presents the school's preschool, primary, and intermediate levels within one coherent, easy to navigate site

Ficino School needed a website that could carry an unusual story to two very different audiences at once. As a philosophically inspired private school running a preschool, primary school, and intermediate across one Mt Eden campus, it had to explain a distinctive educational approach (one built around attention, character, and a blend of the Cambridge Primary Programme and the New Zealand National Curriculum) while still functioning as a practical front door for prospective parents weighing enrolment. The site had to feel calm and considered, reflect the school's values of respect, truthfulness, courage, and responsibility, and guide families clearly from curiosity through to application without losing the warmth that defines the school.

WitsCode built the site on WordPress with a deep, level-based information architecture that lets each part of the school speak for itself. Top-level sections cover About Us (vision and values, our people, governance, location, affiliations, testimonials), the three school levels (Preschool, Primary, Intermediate), Learning, School Life, and Enrolments, so a visitor can move from the school's philosophy to the daily reality of a school day to the steps for applying. The school's motto, "Rejoice in the Present," and its four pillars of academic excellence, strength of character, power of attention, and service run through the content as an organizing thread.

The enrolment experience is the practical heart of the site. WitsCode laid out a clear five-step application journey, from submission through acknowledgement, selection, formal offer, and acceptance, and paired it with a tour booking tool and a prospectus families can request and download. Around that, the build supports a News and Principal's Messages section, a calendar and term dates, scholarship and fees information, and quick links to everyday resources.

The site also wires in the third-party systems a working school depends on, including the Kindo school shop for online purchases and AccessIt for student library access, alongside Facebook and Instagram links and clear contact and location details for the Mt Eden campus. The build serves enrolled families and prospective parents without compromise.

Frequently asked

Questions before you reach out.

A converting law firm site pairs clear practice area pages with proof of competence and a frictionless next step: attorney profiles with real credentials, reviews and case results where your bar rules allow them, a structured intake form, and a phone number that is visible on every screen. Most firm sites fail on the last part. They describe the firm well and then bury the contact path, so research never becomes a consultation.

Our shipped work sits in professional services, education, healthcare, and local business rather than a named law firm, so we sell this as capability instead of a client list, and the parts that transfer are the hard parts: trust-led sites for high-stakes decisions, structured intake journeys, and local SEO for multi-location practices. Ficino School is the closest reference, a private school site where a five-step application journey, tour booking, and prospectus access turn cautious parents into applicants. Swap enrollment for intake and the decision mechanics are the same.

Yes, we build intake flows that capture matter type, urgency, location, and the basic facts a paralegal needs for a conflict check, then route each inquiry to email, your CRM, or your case management tool so it lands with the right person instead of a shared inbox. Multi-step forms outperform long single forms for legal intake because they ask for commitment gradually. We also wire in click-to-call for the people who would rather not type.

Local SEO for a law firm means winning the map pack and the localized organic results for practice-plus-city searches, which comes down to a complete Google Business Profile, a steady flow of reviews, consistent citations, and location and practice area pages that give Google something specific to rank. We run local SEO as an ongoing service, including for multi-branch businesses where each location needs its own visibility. Rankings compound, so a firm that starts now is hard to displace in a year.

We build the mechanics so your firm can stay compliant: disclaimers where you need them, review and results sections you can switch off in jurisdictions that restrict them, and clear separation between information and advice, while your firm or its ethics counsel signs off on the final language, since advertising rules vary by bar. That division of labor keeps you safe and keeps the project moving. When a rule changes, we ship the update fast.

We start with a scoped discovery that produces a fixed spec and a fixed proposal, then build in weekly sprints against a private staging URL, so you see the site taking shape every week and launch lands on the date the scope sets rather than drifting. Every request through our start page gets a scoped estimate within 48 hours. Most firms pair the build with local SEO from day one, because the site alone does not create demand.
