Insta2cart, an Instagram-to-store commerce platform
IndiaSocial commerce, Instagram-first retail

- Instagram product import
- Razorpay checkout (UPI, cards, COD)
- Template storefront builder
- Mobile-first seller dashboard
The challenge
Where we started.
A large share of small Indian sellers run their business directly on Instagram, fielding orders through comments and DMs, sharing payment details by hand, and tracking everything in chat threads. That works until volume grows, and then it leaks: missed messages, no real checkout, no record of orders, and a heavy dependence on marketplaces that take a cut and own the customer relationship. Insta2cart set out to give these sellers their own branded storefront and a proper checkout, without the cost, complexity, or coding that a traditional e-commerce build demands. The product had to feel approachable to a non-technical, phone-first audience while still handling real money, real orders, and real fulfillment.
Our approach
What we built.
WitsCode built Insta2cart as a complete two-sided commerce platform, not just a landing page. The marketing site leads with "Transform Your Instagram Into a Store" and a four-step path: sign up with phone and OTP, pick from a set of professionally designed templates, add products one by one or via CSV bulk import, then go live and share the store link on WhatsApp and social. Behind that sits a seller side with a mobile-first dashboard for product and category management, product variants and options, storefront and hero customization, order management with fulfillment and refunds, abandoned cart recovery, analytics, and staff invites. The buyer side is a hosted storefront with cart, wishlist, save-for-later, product reviews, shareable links, and checkout.
Commerce is wired to Razorpay so customers can pay by UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, and cash on delivery, the methods this market actually uses. The platform also supports custom subdomains and custom domains (yourstore.insta2cart.com or yourbrand.com), plus integration hooks for Instagram Shopping, a Facebook and Commerce Manager catalog feed, WhatsApp commerce, and shipping partners. Pricing is structured across a free forever tier and paid Starter, Pro, and Enterprise plans, with a seven-day trial and Founding Member pricing for early adopters.
Technically, the app is a React single-page application backed by Supabase for authentication (including OTP and passkey style flows), data, storage, realtime, and edge functions, with Razorpay for payments and a TanStack Query data layer. It is deployed on Vercel ahead of its public launch, ready to go live on the insta2cart.com domain.

Outcomes
What followed.
- Gives Instagram sellers a branded storefront and real checkout instead of DM-based order taking
- Lets a non-technical seller stand up a store from a phone using templates and OTP sign-in
- Accepts the payment methods Indian buyers prefer through Razorpay, including UPI and cash on delivery
- Centralizes products, orders, fulfillment, refunds, and analytics in one mobile-first dashboard
- Supports custom domains and subdomains so sellers build their own brand, not a marketplace listing
- Connects to Instagram Shopping, Facebook catalog, and WhatsApp so sellers meet customers where they already are
